Application Strategy Delivery Manager – Lloyd’s Market – Contract


A leading Underwriting organisation based within the Lloyd’s Market is seeking an Application Strategy Delivery Manager to start in the New year for what will be an exciting year of change.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Head of Data and Applications and the Head of Programme Management as well as other key Stakeholders to successfully help deliver the programme.  

Responsibilities  
  • Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the board agreed application strategy.
  • Reports in to senior management working very closely with the Head of Programme Management and the relevant project managers.
  • Co-ordination of the project deliverables that directly affect the application strategy with BAU deliverables and activities to ensure the focus stays on the delivery of the strategy
  • Risks and issues mitigation between teams, activities and vendors that directly affect the delivery of the strategy
  • Assisting the Head of Data with vendor communications and management
  • Co-ordination between projects and activities that affect the application strategy delivery with regards to corporate initiatives like FDW and GDPR
  • Project management where required feeding into the Project Governance Framework
  • Co-ordination and ownership of testing between applications and system integrations where outside of the scope of specific projects
  • Ensuring BAU activities are adjusted where required and outside of the scope of specific projects eg. ELTO processing, new starters leavers changes etc; activities that are within BAU that will be affected by the applications strategy however might not be in scope for specific projects

Experience needed:
  • Understanding Lloyd’s of London insurance especially underwriting and claims systems
  • Understanding the complexities of global regulatory and audit requirements
  • Experience and track record of delivering similar projects is essential
  • Strong IT background, ideally experience working with or for software vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-IT and IT staff
  • Business analysis skills for requirements gathering
  • Strong and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Must be highly organised and able to run concurrent workstreams
 
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Application Strategy Delivery Manager to get involved with a large programme of change working with stakeholders across the globe. This role will suit someone with a strong background within a technical and delivery capacity in the Lloyd’s Market and a good knowledge of current process and procedures within the Market.
