Desktop/Audio Visual Support Analyst – Fund Management, Investment Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets (contract)  

We are seeking a Desktop/Audio Visual Support Analyst (contract), London West End based, to be part of the global IT team within one of our investment management clients. This role does also offer the opportunity to go permanenet if interested. 

The client is a tier 1 global asset manager with a medium sized European operation based out of London. 

The role is to provide level 1 and some level 2 desk side support (and on occasion remote assistance) as well as some basic audio visual support to approximately 340 users, varying from Investors to operational business professionals.  

The ideal candidate will be at the start of their career with around 3-5 years’ experience in desktop support and will be confident interacting with business and technical groups to proactively address the needs of desktop users, including diagnosing problems, quick and efficient resolution of any problems, and managing stakeholder relationships.  

The client’s desktops are almost entirely physical, and MS Windows based, though some exposure to VDI/virtual desktops would be beneficial. 

A background in fund/investment management (including hedge fund management), or investment banking/capital markets is preferred.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing desktop support issues
  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support of AV rooms, and support business users with the video conference workflows needed to setup calls
  • Support of the WebEx suite of tools  
  • Effective ticket management to meet defined service levels
  • Communicate with end users and follow-up on all open and pending tickets
  • Escalate incidents to required support teams, vendors and team leads
  • Provide client training on application usage and best practices
  • Logging of calls in Service-Now
  • Mobile device management IOS
  • Strong Windows 7 troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years’ experience within a desktop support role
  • Genuine and demonstrable interest in technology
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience, particularly under pressure
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix
  • Knowledge of Powershell/Python, scripting etc.
  • Familiarity with Airwatch or MDM
  • Office 365 experience
  • Support experience within Fund Management, or Investment Banking / Capital Markets
