A Leading international financial services group with over £600B AUM require a PMO Manager to join their central change team responsible for the design and delivery of global IT and business transformation programmes.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the portfolio, programme and project processes are fit for purpose and standardised for the scope and scale of the change team and portfolio.  Specifically for the design and management of processes for portfolio prioritisation and status reporting, financial control and reporting, change assurance execution and reporting, change resourcing analysis and reporting. They will also own line management responsibilities for a team of PMO resources and management of cross-programme dependencies

Core Competences Required:

Advanced knowledge of programme management processes and techniques, including:
  • Portfolio prioritisation and Portfolio / Programme / Project status reporting processes
  • Establishing, monitoring and controlling budgets
  • Consolidation and reporting of financial status, including variance analysis
  • Designing and implementing project governance controls and reporting
  • Establishing Common project delivery methods and standards
  • Change assurance execution and reporting
  • Establishing and assuring complex project plans
  • Identification and management of cross-project / programme dependencies
  • Line management or team leadership experience
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills including ability to challenge at all levels
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written, listening) skills (e.g. can present complex data in an easily understood format – competent and flexible use of visibility to drive stakeholder behaviours)
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications (Strong Excel skills desirable) and exposure to Microsoft Project beneficial
