Senior Project Manager – Delivery/Implementation – Media - London

My client is looking to hire 2 Project Managers to assist in the delivery of a global rollout, with the Project Managers having in depth experience in the delivery of finance applications (Oracle/SAP) etc.

The client has embarked on a multi-year Enterprise Architecture (EA) Programme to reorganise the company’s core business processes and IT infrastructure essential for mobilising a global orientation.

Candidates will have the following experience.

  • Experience of incremental delivery/delivering cumulative value in two week sprint cycles. The more agile experience the better; no less than 3 years.
  • Experience of global rollout of key business systems e.g. Oracle, SAP etc. in FTSE 250 business.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams in software development and product acceptance.
Candidates will have the following skills.
  • Seasoned Project Managers with the ability to work in a bimodal environment; some Waterfall though largely Scrum/Kanban methodology, and early stage DevOps.  Our motivation here, is so that PMs can seamlessly be moved on from one work stream to another as their delivery expectations are satisfied. 
  • A person with presence, confident servant leaders able to drive the plan, rather than administratively track the plan.
  • A willingness to coach the teams to mature our approach to agile delivery and accelerate adoption.
  • Proficient in the application of JIRA (ideally) or similar for managing team tasks, sprint planning, reporting and coordination with Tech Leads and Business Sponsors.
  • Recent large programme experience in project planning and tracking, cross work stream dependency management, issue and risk management and pre-production quality assurance validation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A motivated self-starter with a proactive approach, a genuine enthusiasm and natural tenacity.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage a range of stakeholders across business functions and ultimately across geographies.
  • An investigative mind with very high attention to detail; a structured and independent approach to work; able to workshop ideas collaboratively.
  • High degree of numeracy and accuracy; Microsoft Excel proficient in the manipulation of large data sets.
  • The ability to speak French would be highly beneficial as much of the role will be dealing with French business units based in Paris.
