A opportunity to join a company at the start of their rapid growth, doubling in size over the last few years. Working within a start-up environment with the backing of a large corporate, this role gives you an opportunity to work autonomously in a supportive environment.

Seeking a passionate C# and C++ developer who has experience creating commercial applications using the Microsoft development framework (.NET 4.5, C#, WPF, mixed mode C++) and client server solutions using NodeJS, AngularJS and Java.

The role involves maintaining their existing desktop product, coding with the MAPI API, Outlook Object Model, Apache Lucene and providing third level support to users, as well as integrating with the Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint APIs.

Requirements:  
  • Experience of developing software in a fast-paced commercial environment 
  • Expertise with the Microsoft .NET development framework using C#, managed C++ and WPF 
  • Experience/Knowledge of integration with 3rd party APIs such as MAPI, Lucene and SharePoint
  • Experience using NodeJS, AngularJS and Java
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL  
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile / Lean development methodologies and processes 
  • Able to build strong relationships, and provide support and guidance at code level. 
  • Able to translate business requirements into technical functional requirements/user stories that can be used to design and develop effective solutions. 
  • Present ideas, estimates and progress updates effectively to the rest of the team, to story owners, managers and directors. 
  • Maintain the performance and responsiveness of the existing product; identify opportunities to improve maintainability and re-factor. 
  • Identify opportunities for future development; research into products and technologies that will enhance the function or performance of systems. 
  • Strong academic background in computer science or numerate subject – able to demonstrate superb analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • High standard of written and verbal communication – clear, concise and accurate, able to present to technical and non-technical audiences from director to operative.
