Alzheimer's Society

This year Cornwallis Elt will be donating to Alzheimer’s Society as our chosen Christmas charity, supporting the work they do to ultimately find a way to prevent and cure this horrible (and currently incurable) disease. From my own experience, firstly with my Grandfather and now with my Mum, I know how utterly devastating this disease is; slowly stripping away the person you know in such a cruel way, whilst placing a massive strain on family and friends.

We will be making a company donation, partly in lieu of sending company Christmas cards, but also as part of trying to make a positive contribution to the wider community. Should anyone wish to find out more there are some links below, as well as a donation link should you wish to support yourselves.

In the meantime, on behalf of everyone at Cornwallis Elt, we wish you a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous and Healthy 2020!

Dementia devastates lives. By 2021, 1 million people will be living with the condition. But dementia won’t win. Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer’s Society will be here for anyone affected by dementia – wherever they are, whatever they’re going through. Everything we do is informed and inspired by them. We are the UK’s leading dementia charity. Every day, we work tirelessly to find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia. We provide expert information, training, and support services to all those who need our help. And we are creating a more dementia friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice.
