Data Governance Lead - £550 p/d Inside IR35 – 12-month contract – London/Hybrid
We are currently looking for a Data Governance Lead to join a Global Media organisation, responsible for leading the implementation of a Data Governance Framework within the digital business. Within this role, you will be a main point of contact for data quality and management policies as well as standards, and processes, to ensure that data within the organisation is compliant with laws and regulatory frameworks. This is a great opportunity to drive innovation and an exciting change to data delivery within the organisation and be part of an evolving data platform with the opportunity to lead and influence a rapidly growing FTSE listed business working with data professionals in the business to incorporate governance and set the standards to transform an invaluable data platform.
To excel in this role, you will have good knowledge of both Data Assets and Governance with a strong understanding of integrations, data products developing performance metrics as well as having a background in continuously improving practices and process in relation to Data Governance as well as establishing and monitoring goals and objectives for Data Quality.
Key Skills:
• Relevant work experience leading Data Governance programmes
• Strong organisational skills involving project planning, time management, ability to adapt across multiple functional groups and departments.
• Experience in working with product engineering teams, driving through best practices as well as managing change throughout.
• Experience of onshore, nearshore, and offshore models with mixed partners
• Thorough understanding of Data Contracts and Data Quality Reporting
• Strong capabilities to manage Data Catalogues and Data Lineage
• Experience within Data Warehouses, Data Lake and Data Mesh
• Experience with Python, Pyspark and ETL is desirable.
