Executive search

Some of the most senior, key, or discreet hires often require a deeper, more tailored approach, allowing our clients to capture a forensically detailed understanding of the candidate landscape. In these circumstances, clients will often favour an executive search model over a contingency based recruitment approach, aiming for the delivery of both a long list and subsequent short list of highly targeted and suitably qualified candidates.

Any search we conduct will be led by a Director or Principal and then further supported by an experienced team of consultants and researchers. The role, or campaign, will be rigorously defined at inception to ensure a focused and collaborative approach designed to meet our client’s objectives, and equally to ensure that the candidate experience is positive throughout.

With extensive networks in all of our key markets, we are often able to create detailed market maps far more quickly than larger and more widespread search firms, resulting in a more complete and efficient coverage of relevant candidates within a shorter time frame.  Within our search function, we also have a particular emphasis on helping organisations reach a diverse talent pool across a wide range of backgrounds and gender and can present some strong case studies as evidence. One such area of this is our Women in Tech team, you can read more about this by clicking the link below.

  • "I was introduced to Cornwallis in 2012 and started working with them in 2013 while at Barclays where I was a Managing Director for Barclays Wealth. I agreed a project with Cornwallis which required discrete market research and then a succession of approximately ten contract and permanent Charles River hires in the space of a quarter – Cornwallis excelled at this and delivered an exceptional team. I have been working with Cornwallis ever since, primarily as I like the personal touch from the senior management team, the ability to tailor searches, the quality of candidate research and the way they manage relationships with my hiring managers."
