Our client, a leading Financial Services organisation, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of critical digital and payments programmes. This is a permanent opportunity joining a highly visible area of the business during an exciting period of change and transformation.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of complex, high-impact projects across the digital and payments space. With a strong focus on software and platform improvements, you will work across multiple workstreams, managing multi-million-pound budgets and cross-functional delivery teams.
Success in this role will require a mix of technical understanding, strategic thinking, and hands-on delivery, as well as excellent stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle project delivery in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Lead multiple workstreams and drive delivery of regulatory and digital transformation initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business and technology
- Oversee planning, change management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure alignment across delivery teams
- Contribute to shaping strategy and improving internal project delivery processes
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Delivery Lead within large, complex organisations (financial services desired but not essential)
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience delivering digital projects; payments-related projects highly desirable
- Deep knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder and change management skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
- Experience working on FCA-regulated programmes desired but not essential
