Last week Cornwallis Elt hosted another virtual forum for CTO's of mid-sized Sell-Side firms on the subject of the ever changing role of IT organised by our own Henry Hickley and James Kidd. This is being impacted not just by the obvious onset of cloud providers but by the rise of “citizen developers” in the business as well increasing emphasis on data, and on operational resilience and other regulatory pressures. Tim Valmas at Numis led us through a thought provoking discussion, leading to a subtly different perspective from similar discussions with clients and relationships in the larger Buy-Side firms.
