Cyber Security Data Compliance Lead – Data Privacy, Governance, GDPR, 6-month FTC, London/Dublin, £80k pro rata + benefits
Our client, a world-leading global sporting governing body, are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Data Compliance Lead to join the organisation.
The role will sit within their growing cyber security team as they transition to a new model for delivering major international tournaments and events. You will be an integral part in establishing and maintaining robust data controls and governance for the organisation’s sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive security data compliance framework in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce appropriate data governance policies, procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with privacy, legal and compliance teams to decipher and apply data protection principles.
• Establish secure and compliant processes throughout the data management lifecycle.
• Implement data retention and disposal policies aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills and experience:
• Expertise in designing and implementing data governance.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards relevant to data governance.
• Familiarity of data protection measures such as encryption, access controls and data masking.
• Experience of data retention and disposal policies, including implementation and management of data loss prevention solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Identity and Security Technology (CIST) etc
