Role Overview:
Our client is a media business seeking to optimize their AWS infrastructure costs. As a FinOps Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in conducting a comprehensive cost optimization review of their AWS environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage, optimize, and automate financial processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify financial optimization opportunities within the AWS infrastructure.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline financial operations and reduce costs.
- Analyze AWS financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Utilize cloud financial management tools to monitor and optimize AWS costs.
- Provide training and support to team members on FinOps best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a FinOps Consultant or in a similar financial operations role.
- Strong understanding of AWS financial management and cost optimization.
- Proficiency with financial management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
Desirable:
- Certification in FinOps or related financial management disciplines.
- Extensive experience with AWS cost management and optimization.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Strong project management skills.
