Group Reporting Accountant – ACA, ACCA, UK GAAP, Insurance – London
A very well-respected Insurance business is searching for a Group Reporting Accountant, where you will support their consolidated financial reporting, tax compliance and technical accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Coordinate and consolidate financial information with overseas teams.
- Prepare Group consolidated accounts and liaise with auditors.
- Provide finance input to new projects and prepare monthly result analysis.
- Develop Group board reporting packs and meet debt covenant requirements.
Finance Risks and Controls:
- Enhance and report on the Group finance risk and control framework.
- Support the rollout of finance control frameworks to international entities.
- Review and develop financial reporting controls and recommend process enhancements.
Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Prepare Country by Country reporting and maintain tax documentation.
- Update the Group’s tax strategy and monitor compliance requirements.
Technical Accounting Support:
- Draft technical accounting papers and support the development of the accounting manual.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) in either industry or practice.
- A detailed understanding of UK GAAP insurance and Group accounting.
- Solid experience in preparation of insurance financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS.
- An understanding of Insurance regulations in the UK and internationally when required.
