Senior Group Accountant - London - Lloyd's Market Insurance - Permanent - Hybrid - £80,000 - £85,000
A highly reputable Specialty Insurance company are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Reporting Accountant to join them on a permanent basis to be their newest asset to their Finance team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards specific to the insurance sector and Lloyd's Market.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline reporting processes and improve financial systems.
- Provide insights and support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Work closely with auditors during financial audits and reviews.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a reporting / accounting role, with a strong background in the Lloyd's Insurance Market.
- Excellent understanding of Lloyd's Market accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
