Syndicate Accountant – Finance, Insurance

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000
Location: 3 Days in Office – London
One of our Lloyd’s Market clients are looking for a Syndicate Accountant to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract to assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns to Lloyd’s and other regulatory reporting by contributing to process improvement, system development and other financial projects.
In the role, you will be involved in the preparation and reviewing of multiple Lloyd’s Regulatory returns including QMA, QMB, SBF, US Situs, Cad Situs, NAIC, TRIA/FIO, Standard Formula, SBF, QSR, QAD, ASR, AAD, QF1, AF1. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders assisting in the Lloyd’s tax returns, oversight of reporting timetables and sign off as well as preparing and reviewing the Syndicate’s Financial Statements.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
• Proven experience in an insurance accounting role within the Lloyd’s insurance market.
• Experience with Lloyd’s Core Market Returns website, Market Data Collections website and Lloyd’s overseas reporting systems.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
• Strong, clear and well-structured written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to build and maintain co-operative relationships with team members and colleagues.
Beneficial experience includes:
• Knowledge of Workday and Phinsys.
• Experience with Clearwater.
