Lead Frontend Engineer – Credit Trading, Investment Banking, Agile, UI/UX, TypeScript, JavaScript – Permanent, Hybrid, London, up to £125,000 base
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Frontend Engineer to join its Credit Technology team in London. This role will be responsible for leading critical UI initiatives within a global technology team, driving development projects, and ensuring the continuous enhancement of the firm’s Credit Flow trading platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead UI development initiatives within the engineering team.
• Engage in hands-on development while overseeing key deliverables.
• Manage the rollout of technology solutions to the Credit Flow business.
• Contribute to strategic UI architecture development and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure the trading platform adheres to security and compliance standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, Node.js.
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java 8, Vert.x, Linux.
• JIRA, Confluence, Git, NPM, Yarn, Webpack, TeamCity/Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Demonstrable experience running a development team.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong UI/UX, analytical and design capabilities with a focus on user-centric solutions.
• Previous exposure to financial markets is preferred.
Please note: This role requires 3 days onsite in London office.
