QA Lead - £110,000 p/a – Permanent – London – Hybrid Working

My client is a leading global investment management business looking to hire a QA Lead to assist the Head of QA in leading a dynamic quality assurance function. This role is key to ensuring an effective testing framework is in place to manage and control system changes, ensuring confidence and quality across business applications. Additionally, you will play a critical role in shaping the business’ test strategy, ensuring consistency in testing for both Agile and larger strategic projects, working closely with various teams to streamline processes. This is a hands-on role, with leadership responsibilities across multiple teams, focusing on continuous improvement and pushing an ‘automation first’ mindset.

The QA Lead is expected to:

  • Deputise QA function by contributing and implementing the overarching test strategy for the business.
  • Define and manage the test approach for project and business changes, ensuring quality control, risk management and audit compliance.
  • Lead efforts to streamline testing processes, creating a unified framework for Agile iterative changes, compassing software development, system integration and business process changes.
  • Drive test automation strategies, identifying opportunities for automation and managing the efficient delivery of test automation capabilities, including automated regression tests. Champion automate-first mindset, ensuring the QA function has the tools and frameworks necessary to effective automation.
  • Lead and mentor multiple projects, taking on people leadership responsibilities while being hands-on when required.


The successful QA Lead will possess:

  • Proven experience with automated testing methods and various testing tools and frameworks.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Azure, .Net, IIS, SQL, and version control tools like Microsoft DevOps and Git.
  • Solid experience in Asset Management, with a deep understanding of testing strategies tailored to business needs and risks.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to lead multiple teams, allocate resources and delivery effective testing outcomes.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude, able to take ownership of issues and delivery results with minimal supervision.
